As part of the Action Weeks Against Racism in Paderborn 2026, the European University Alliance COLOURS warmly invites you to take part in the Anti-Racism Action Day — an inspiring event organised in collaboration with Paderborn University's Central Equal Opportunities Officer, Dr Annika Hegemann, together with the Coordinator for Refugees at the University of Paderborn, Volker Verhoff, the Diversity Officer, Laura Maring, the Vice-Dean for Sustainability, Equality and Diversity at the Faculty of Cultural Studies, Dr Larissa Eikermann, and the Managing Director of the Centre for Gender Studies, Dr Claudia Mahs, and the student organisations of the Foreign Student Representation (ASV) and the General Student Committee (AStA) invite all interested parties to an action day against racism at Paderborn University.

This day is dedicated to raising awareness of racism and discrimination in all their forms while encouraging open dialogue, reflection, and community engagement. Through interactive workshops, creative activities, and the opening of the exhibition ToleranzR?ume, we will explore how each of us can help foster an inclusive and respectful society.
 

From 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., you are invited to visit a variety of action and information stands in the university foyer. Experience hands-on activities, take part in participatory formats, and gain fresh perspectives on themes of diversity and tolerance. At 2:30 p.m., the indoor version of the ToleranzR?ume exhibition will be officially opened in the library foyer by the COLOURS President, Prof. Dr. Heike Trautmann, followed by a bilingual guided tour. The exhibition invites visitors to reflect on how tolerance shapes our coexistence and where its boundaries lie. It offers new perspectives on both the concept of tolerance and the diverse realities of people’s lives.

Throughout the day, the European University Alliance COLOURS will also have an information stand with representatives from the Implementation Office, where you can learn more about the Alliance and its initiatives and opportunities to get involded. A small COLOURS snack will be provided to keep you refreshed.
